Summer Grand Opening!

JULY 12, 2025:

Our soft opening event took place on the most gorgeous July day, and we couldn't be happier with the response from our community! Thank you to everyone who came out, Including:

90+ attendees from the neighborhood and beyond
Opening breathwork, drumming, and blessing ceremony hosted by Krystal Edwards, a traditional Mexican Medicine Keeper and birth worker.
Speaker: Oakland City Councilperson Charlene Wang (D2) as a surprise guest
Speaker: Oakland Urban Farming Project's "Gravity Garden" steward Cameron Preston
Speaker: Beekeeper Paula Breen spoke and educated folks on the apiary
Speaker: Laura Jerrard from Trees for Oakland
Tae Ha owner and artist-curator of Dictee Gallery
A community visioning board for the space
Food, drink, and salad!
Support from Alameda County Arts Council for our kid's art and nature table - we did rock painting and watercolors!
